If you happen upon an excess of mint this is my best simple Solution. Homemade mint tea bags.

I like to bring in my mint and put it in a mesh bag and hang it up to dry. I used to just lay it on a plate which was fine but messy for large amounts. I tried just tying it up and hanging it on my rack but leaves kept ending up on the floor, so these bags are my best solution. I actually use these for drying all my herbs.

Once they’re dry (usually a few days) I take all of the mint leaves off of the stems and scrunch them up a bit and put them in these little Tea Bags

You can also just grind some up and stick it in a spice jar for salad dressing etc. or use a reusable tea steeper, but with so many people this is what I find most convenient. These bags are larger and hold enough mint to make the tea taste really good.

I like to store mine in a big glass jar to keep them fresh. It’s a pretty simple process, but I’d figure I would share it. I know many people who just never get to using all the mint they grow after mojito season passes and just brining it to dry is half the battle. If you like this idea, like this post and thanks for taking the time to stop by.
