Here in Canada, Thanksgiving weekend is quickly approaching. One tradition we have in our family is making our own cranberry sauce. It's basic, but good. We like to make 8x as much and share with our neighbours and friends, but I wanted to share the basic recipe with you in case anyone feels like making some. It's super basic and easy.

This year I printed some cute free tags from Pjs and paint to attach to the jars with some twine and I've linked it in case you'd like to as well.
RECIPE
Basic Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup of Water
1/2 Cup of Apple Juice
1 Cup Of Sugar
1 bag of fresh cranberries
Instructions:
Boil water, sugar and juice in a stock pot. Stir through the whole process so it doesn't burn.
Once boiling, reduce to medium heat and add the berries in.
Bring back to a rolling boil for 10 mins
Remove from heat and cool
That's it. You have sauce. Simple, basic, easy.
Now, you can add liquid pectin at the end, but you don't have to. You can switch out half the cranberries for blueberries, you can add whatever you like in your sauce. I just like mine basic. I also water bath Can mine. You do not have to. You can just can it up and keep it in the fridge. Enjoy friends and happy thanksgiving to you all.
When it looks like this don't stress, it's supposed to.
